Layout #6 & 7 2010 Layout Challenge + Mom's Quilt

It is a blustery, wintery day here.....one of those day that makes you want to curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book! But I have too much to do before I leave on Wednesday for Nova Scotia. I finally finished the quilt top that I am giving to my Mom for her birthday on Sunday and then put the finishing touches on a couple of layouts. I even managed to get the rest of my Christmas decorations packed away......better late than never!

The first layout is the one I did "virtually" with Kim's workshop group a couple of weeks ago. Had to find the right photos for it. The layout is from CTMH Imagine - "Grand Finale" and uses CTMH Jingle level 2 paper pack. I also used American Crafts "Thickers", stickers. CTMH ink in Tulip to distress the papers, scissors to distress the edges of card stock, pop dots, and a Sakura Jelly Roll clear pen.
The second layout uses CTMH Back Country level 2 paper pack, Outdoor Denim Ribbon Rounds, chipboard title from Bizous, buttons from my sewing stash, CTMH hemp and Liquid Glass.

Layout #5 2010 Layout Challenge

This is another layout that was the result of a sketch challenge.....man, I love those things. Challenges seem to help me get my 'mojo" going! I used paper that I had had for a long time so I was happy to be using it up. Paper is from We R Memory Keepers - Stitched Flowers/Denim, bazzill card stock, CTMH barn red card stock & ink, CTMH bigger brads in barn red and outdoor denim, "Felicity" stamp set, sandpaper, Fiskars "Treading Water" punch, Creative Imaginations "Old Guys Rule" stickers, and Kaiser rhinestones. The flowers were cut out from the paper and I layered one, bent up the petals. The sketch was from Connie Prince at http://www.elementalscraps.com/

I have a couple more to post, but they need finishing touches and I have been busy working on a quilt top for my Mom's birthday on the 31st. My son and I are going to surprise her by delivering it in person next week. She lives in Nova Scotia and so I don't get to see her that often. Hope to get it finished today so that I can get back to my scrapbooking!!

Layout # 4 2010 Layout Challenge

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend an all-day crop with a couple of my scrappin' friends on Saturday and managed to get a few layouts done. This one was a sketch challenge and so it forced me outside of my comfort zone a little when it came to layout....but I love the finished product. Products used: Bazzill card stock, patterned papers from My Mind's Eye "Playful Posies Glitter stack" CTMH dazzling die cuts (thanks Kelly!) ric rac ribbon, stickers from Tres Jolie, Kelly Panacci, Nintendo and rub-0n from Piggy Tales, Twilight & Orange ink from CTMH, and Liquid Glass.

Only 116 to go.....

Layout # 3 2010 Layout Challenge

It was such a beautiful day here today that I had to get outside for a walk! After spending an hour or so walking to Sobeys & Michaels and back, my cheeks were rosy and I felt great. Another gorgeous day is forecast for tomorrow, so I thought I should get this posted tonight 'cause who knows where I will end up walking tomorrow!

This layout is of my son, shovelling off our deck after a huge snowstorm. He's grown into a very responsible man that I'm very proud of. Supplies used: Basic Gray patterned paper & embellishments, card stock, brown grosgrain ribbon, Making Memories brads, spiral clip, chipboard photo corners from Scenic Route, 2 word brads (unknown manufacturer), vellum quote from "Quote Stacks", chocolate ink for distressing.

Layout # 1 2010 Scrapbook Challenge

Happy New Year to all my scrapbooking friends out there! Now that the holiday rush is over, I was finally able to sit down and get somewhat organized again. The first thing I had to do was take a couple of photos of my layouts to post for this challenge. There are twelve other CTMH consultants participating in this, and if I can get my friend Kim to set up her blog, I think I can convince her to play as well! So here we go.....
I used My Minds Eye paper and co-ordinating Bazill cardstock to matte photos and sticker, Cranberry brads (CTMH), flower that I crocheted, paper flowers from Bazill and Hot off the Press, Stickers from K & Co and EK Success, buttons, and pearlized brad (not sure of the brand)
